Strategy Detailed Descriptions

There are three levels of solving strategies:

1. Simple Strategies can find the only number possible in a cell without marking impossible numbers in other cells.
2. Intermediate Strategies can find solutions to cells without marking impossible numbers in other cells, but are much easier to use if impossible numbers have been marked. Computer hints and solving require impossible numbers to be marked for intermediate strategies.
3. Advanced Strategies require all impossible numbers to be marked in all unsolved cells. These strategies are more difficult, but are necessary for harder puzzles.

Simple Strategies

• Only 1 unsolved cell in group
• Intersecting groups allow that only 1 cell in a group can contain a certain number
• Intersecting groups with an additional row or column excluded because of other intersection

Intermediate Strategies

• Only 1 possible in cell
• Only 1 possible in group

Advanced Strategies

• Find Box Intersections
• Find N-tuplets
• Find Hidden N-tuplets
• Pick a Trial Number
